Crashes on all 'Save as...' attempts

Komodo 11 is crashing on all ‘Save as…’ attempts, whether through File -> Save as… or Ctrl-Shift-S or just Ctrl-S on unsaved file. Rebooted, reinstalled from fresh download today, deleted all prefs files and reinstalled, all to no avail. Recent changes: updated to Mojave.

What kind of crash is it @smkiewel? Full program crash? Stack trace alert dialog? Komodo hangs?

Program becomes completely unresponsive. Requires ‘Force Quit’ from Activity Monitor.

K, can you reproduce the issue then before you restart grab your logs from ~/Library/Application Support/KomodoIDE/11.1/pystderr.log and share them here?

That looks like logs from a fresh start up, no errors. Are you sure you grabbed the logs while Komodo was hanging or before you restarted?

Could you double check that you reset your profile properly by stopping Komodo and renaming your ~/Library/Application Support/KomodoIDE/11.1/ folder then starting Komodo and reproducing the issue?

Does that mean you renamed that folder?

Are you able to make a video or something? Something isn’t adding up here. If this was a general problem then every user on Mojave (including myself) would be hitting this issue. Or maybe a screenshot of the frozen Komodo? Is there a beach ball of death?

To clarify, not trying to point fingers but perhaps you can think of something or see something on your system that would be effecting this? Does it happen with all files? Are you trying with the same file every time? Is it in the same location?

Different files, different locations. The only thing that I forgot to add is it happens when I’m change directories in the file explorer. After a couple, it freezes. On the last time, each directory becomes more sluggish until it froze. I’ll try to take a video of it.

And I can’t think of any other recent changes. Only Mojave last week. Nothing yesterday or this morning at all that I am aware of. Can’t remember if I 'Save As…'ed since Mojave, though.

OH very weird! That’s not at all what I was picturing. So it doesn’t happen every time and it’s not the actual “save” action that causes the hang but the navigating in the files dialog. The oddest thing is that’s not a Komodo window. That’s an OSX dialog. Is it at all possible that there is a problem with symlinked folders here or mounted drives?
My coworker was wondering if you’re running Komodo from the mounted DMG?
