In case if anyone is struggling with different indentation and tab/spaces settings between files
I found this old macro which allows to set file settings in file itself but unfortunatelly it didn’t work in Komodo 8: http://community.activestate.com/forum/komode-modeline-support-komodo.
I spent a little bit of time and made it work for Komodo Edit 8:
