I find myself maintaining 2 versions of an addon I’m writing.
I am maintaining a GitHub version of the addon at https://github.com/manngo/html-tools, but when I upload a new version & create a new release, it doesn’t appear to find its way to the Tools | Add-ons Manager. I have to also upload it to the old web site at https://community.activestate.com/node/10850.
Am I missing a step somewhere?
The Add-on Manager will be removed/disabled in Komodo 9.3 AFAIK. The replacement is Package Manager in Commando, it doesn’t support add-ons updating atm, but I sure it will be implemented in the nearest future.
In addition to what Defman said; as of version 9.3 only the Komodo packages repository will be considered. The old community site on activestate.com will be deprecated and you will no longer need to maintain your addon there unless you intend to support older versions.
