When using Komodo with Perl I have to point at ppm (and cpan) in preferences - so I half expected that if I try to use a package which is not yet installed, that Komodo would jump in and try to satisfy the reference (i.e. try to instal the appropriate package.
In my case: nothing happens. So that means or that my expectation is wrong or that I had configured something wrong.
It is (of course) no problem to fire up ppm manually and install the needed package, but I’d like to know what it does and how the ppm/cpan integration works (or should work)?
The package manager integration can be found under Go to Anything > Shell > -Package Manager Name-
We do have plans to expand on this, but currently it just facilitates the running of commands.
