On Komodo's Collaboration features

I am a high school student that runs a small web development team. Currently we are at five people, but will expand next year. One of the most difficult thing for us to deal with is collaboration. I though that using agile and SCM would fix this, but I still have slacker and issue. I could always use Skype or email to communicate, but it is difficult to give tutorials, or code reviews from those solutions. I had seen Komodo about 4-5 years ago, and was not impressed, but about a year ago I decide to check back(I am currently researching Stackato), and the Features for IDE are amazing. The collaboration features are having me consider switching the whole team to Komodo next year, but I have a few questions:

  1. It says we can edit a document simultaneously. Does this work across the internet and quickly?
  2. Is there any sort of tutorial on creating a shred project and using the shared toolbox
  3. Are there anymore amazing collaboration features I should know about?

One time I tested the feature with @nathanr and I can say it works quickly and fine.

Cool, will it work cross platform?

I think so.
