Live Previewing - Feature or Future?

Just upgraded to V11. Live Previewing is announced as one of the new features, however, I can’t figure out how to get it working.

It IS the future…yes it’s in Komodo 11. Here’s a docs link: http://docs.activestate.com/komodo/11/manual/livepreview.html

Summary:

  • open a markdown or html file
  • Click the eyeball toolbar button that appears in the left side (dynamic) toolbar

That’s it.

Thanks, NOW I get it. I was hoping, that the previewed file would be served through the web server so that PHP code, contained in the HTML file, is parsed. But it’s still a major improvement.

You can do this with the legacy preview system by setting up Mapped URI in your preferences. If you’re interested in setting that up let me know and I can guide you through the Mapped URI dialog which is notoriously non-intuitive.
