License installation application detected as Malware


I am trying to run the Komodo license installation application on Windows 10, but the operation is blocked.
I have also tried to run it with administrator rights, the outcome is the same.

First, SmartScreen triggers an alert which can be disabled, then Symantec Endpoint Protection puts the license installation application into quarantine. Therefore I cannot install the license.

Is there a different way to install the license?


Hi @ESchaefer, can you disable Symantec while you install the license then turn it back on?

I cannot disable the protection because it is managed at a corporate level.
