Komodo Edit Hangs When Switching Files or Saving or at Intervals

The title really sums it up. The only addition I have made to the vanilla download was to add the source tree addon (NST - New Source Tree) from the “Get Add-ons” dialog.

This appears in the log file after every hang (30 sec or more of unresponsiveness):

[2014-09-04 11:02:55,361] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_cursor_4’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,361] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_cursor_5’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,362] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_cursor_2’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,362] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_cursor_3’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,365] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_cursor_1’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,365] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_remote_change’
[2014-09-04 11:02:55,365] [WARNING] koScintillaSchemeService: applyScheme:: no indicator for name ‘collab_local_change’

Any help would be appreciated. I love this editor but the usability is circling down the toilet right now.

Thank you.

What color scheme are you using and what version of Komodo? Try resetting your color scheme to “Default”.

I am using one of the vanilla schemes: “Dark_Wombatsosia” with larger fonts, under “Fonts and Colors”

I am also using the “Abyss” skin under “Appearance”

I will try resetting both of these to default. Does this mean I can’t use a scheme that ships with your software?

I changed schemes, the errors in the log are now gone; however, I still get the 30+ second hang with every file save, intermittently with file switching.

Oh, forgot the version:

Komodo Edit, version 8.5.4, build 14424, platform win32-x86. Built on Thu Aug 14 00:30:57 2014.

Ok, I disabled the NST addon and all the hanging has gone away. What a bummer, I really liked that add-on, it added vital functionality. Thank you for your help, nathanr.

I think you must contact with addon developer and report to him about this bug.

Note that Komodo IDE has its own code browser, in case you’d be interested in trying that.

Glad you got it sorted.
