How Do I use the Tool "Compare Files"?

Hello All:

I am new to KE and am having an issue with the tool “Compare Files”. When I choose the two files and click compare, I get one file in a tab that is called Diff.dif. Am I missing something, wouldn’t the two files be side by side or something?

Hi Paul, the “compare files” functionality uses inline “diff” comparison rather than side-by-side, and it should appear in a dialog:

That means nothing to me?? I can’t understand what is happening… What does all that gibberish mean?
