Customizing Code Intelligence behavior in Komodo IDE 12

Is there any way to disable a specific auto-complete action in Komodo IDE 12’s “Code Intelligence”? I find the new behavior of the IDE in regards to PHP and the array() keyword seriously troubling, and it even does it inside a comment block (!) …

So, can I remove “Code Intelligence” handling of specific keywords? I’ve been using Komodo IDE for quite a few versions now, and this hasn’t been an issue until version 12.

@joho68 sounds like disabling Auto-Abbreviations should stop that, Edit menu > Preferences > Editor > Smart Editing: Disable Auto-Abbreviations

This is a feature that, at least for PHP, doesn’t always quite work as it was intended I think.
