I’ve been using Komodo edit for years and with each new version I am finding it more difficult to get it to look the way I want it to. Currently I have the edit window using the colors I have chosen. In preferences I have selected ‘Use the same color scheme for everything’ but the Places pane, and teh project file pane, and all other panes still use the default (dark) background coloring. How do I get the background colors universal across the app?

Clarifying: It sounds like you have edited the colour scheme in Tools > Color Scheme Editor then selected that edited colour scheme in Edit menu > Prefs > Appearance and set it to be used “for everything”?
If that’s the case, perhaps you only customized the Editor region of Komodo and didn’t customize the Interface. You would customize the Interface by selecting it in the left drop down in the Color Scheme Editor.
