Automatic updating of addons

I have an addon which is in both the old repository and in the new one.

I don’t think the addon is automatically updating any more. I updated the addon a few days ago, but machines with the previous version didn’t appear to to notice. I had to uninstall and re-install the addon.

Is it a bug or is there a different way of updating the addon.

I know that the old repository will soon be retired.

The new addon manager will simply notify users that updates are available, it is then up to them to install them or not. Addons will not update automatically. We’ll likely add an option for this down the road.

I prefer the option of being notified of an update then being automatic as it could effect workflow.
