An error occurred executing the cmd_newTemplate command

#1

Komodo IDE has gone bonkers on me. I can’t make a new python file use python 3, older ones continue to do OK. If I try to open a new file with templates, it errors out. The log (and info box) show: (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: “JS frame :: chrome://komodo/content/library/commands.js :: command_doCommand :: line 239” data: yes]

I am running latest level on Linux Mint 19.3.
This used to work. I tried a new installation but samo-samo.
Probably something stupid that I have done.

Happy New Year.

@louyov,

Need:

  • full logs: Help menu > troubleshooting > view log file
  • Komodo version: *Help menu > About Komodo

Can try:
Help menu > troubleshooting > Restart in Safe-Mode

safe mode works. start without addins and tools doesn’t.

@louyov, your profile is very very broken. Komodo can’t seem to load any components. Is it an option to reset your profile? If not I can guide you in saving what you want to keep when you reset.

OK, I nuked it with reset all and that fixed it. Now to recover.
Thanks
