When I do a find-and-replace (CTRL+H), and the operation does not succeed because the find text is not found, there seems to be no way to cancel and dismiss the panel other than to waste time entering two dummy identical text sequences then clicking Replace All. The panel takes up a lot of vertical space so I don’t want to just leave it there. How can I dismiss it?
Pressing Esc or Ctrl+h again should do the trick.
Ctrl+h does not dismiss it by Esc does. Thanks for the tip, I can finally get rid of that panel!
