Can't open remote directory

I configure “server” in Preferences -> Servers

Server type: SFTP
Name: MyServer

and another options that you don’t need to know (hostname, username and password).
When I try to select the server that I want to see, I get a JavaScript Application Error: "Error: 'Имя или служба не известны'" (Name or service unknown). Why?

My OS: Debian Jessie (Debian 8).

Well, I fix it. I enter server IP and it’s work normal.

My errors log is too big, but I show you ftp errors:

Hostname actually seems pretty relevant for this issue if you still want to get to the bottom of it.

Looks like you’re up and running though.

Well, Ok. My hostname: ftp.bestgothic.com. FileZilla and my browser (Mozilla Firefox (Iceweasel)) open the ftp connection via hostname normally.

Hey Defman21,

Could you find and open the following file:
<komodo dir>/lib/mozilla/components/koFTP.py

and add the following line of code at line 141:

log_koFTP.warn("SERVER NAME: %s", self.server)

Remember that indenting matters in Python and must match the current block.

Restart Komodo and try to connect to your server again. When it fails, please attach the logs again.

At line 141 I see function __del__(self)
I must move this function on a one line and insert your code?
And why your code not like: self.log.warn("SERVER NAME: %s", self.server)?
At line 133 I see defention of variable self.log = log_koFTP.

My bad, I didn’t know you’re using Komodo Edit. Short term memory lapse. You mentioned it in a tweet not long ago.

You’re modifying do_openSocket(). Add a line after line 173. You can use self.log.warn() if you like. Looks better if you do.

Did you check against the URL that was not working?

And on this url (ftp.bestgothic.com) connection works normal. I don’t know what I changed or what changed on a server. But it’s work and i’m happy. Thanks
